Best dressed at the Proton Australia Pickleball Open
The Proton Australia Pickleball Open might've featured a smaller field, but there were still quite a few fashion standouts on the court.
That includes some fresh new Aussie players and a few familiar faces too.
Let’s dive right into the best dressed pros at the tournament.
Jessie completely surprised me when she debuted a new look. Usually, she opts for bright colored Nike high slit shorts and a matching tank top. In Australia, however, she rocked two athletic rompers that were so sleek and looked amazing on her. It's an exciting switch in her pickleball fashion wardrobe.
A member of PPA Tour Australia, Joey opted for a clean look that truly never goes out of style. Wearing a cream T-shirt, forest green shorts, and cream and white court shoes, he simply looks cool. It's an excellent fit to be timeless.
Nicola caught my eye with this white polo with a mustard yellow collar and striped hem. This is a simple closet basic, but has a little extra flare to make it fun. I also couldn’t help but notice her braided hairstyle that reminded me of Anna Leigh Waters’ hair. That hairstyle is always a win.
Allyce Jones and Hurricane Tyra Black
There's nothing I love more than a color coordinated women’s doubles partnership. Allyce and Tyra decided on a light purple and black color scheme that looked adorable on them. Jones went for a black fit and flare skirt and fitted purple tank, and Black chose a purple pleated skirt and paired it with a black tank layered with a long sleeve. These two showed off their individual style, while still looking like a unit.
Another PPA Aussie, Andie wore a white high neck tank with some ruching on the side for added texture, and paired it with a fitted sage green tennis skirt that was so cute. And for a pop of color, she paired this fit with bright orange and blue New Balance court shoes that were a vibrant staple on the court.
I’m a sucker for a little black tennis dress and Helena absolutely delivered. As a certified fashion girlie off the court, it’s no surprise Spiridis showed up on court in style. This sleek dress is a closet staple, but also has a little extra pop with white detailing on the collar. Very cute.
Vivian Glozman and Lacy Schneemann
This women’s doubles gold medal partnership color coordinated their outfits and looked so good. And I just love this light blue and white color scheme. Lacy maintained her usual sporty style with a blue tank top, bright white shorts, white hat, and white shoes. And Vivian took a more feminine approach and wore a blue high neck top and paired it with a pleated white tennis skirt, white shoes, and a blue scrunchie. Adorable as always.
Tyson has one of the more defined pickleball fashion styles among the pro men, and this look is pure McGuffin. White Skechers tank top, hot pink shorts, patterned compression shorts, gray and white Skechers shoes, and white tube socks incorporating the hot pink from his shorts. Don’t forget the backwards hat, and this is a staple McGuffin look.
