Barstool Sports praises Tyson McGuffin for candid 'bedroom cardio' reply during post-match interview in Australia

Barstool Sports blogger Jordie gave Tyson McGuffin a major shout out for a memorable post-match interview during the Proton Australia Pickleball Open that made headlines across the picklesphere.

Shortly after McGuffin and partner Gabe Tardio clinched a spot in the Men's Doubles Final, they were asked to share their favorite part about being in Melbourne for the inaugural tournament Down Under.

"No kids and a lot of bedroom cardio," replied McGuffin, a father of four, live on Pickleballtv.

Jordie appreciated the open and honest answer so much that he penned a full story about it on one of the most popular sports and pop culture blogs on the planet.

"You'll hear plenty of haters out there make baseless claims that pickleball is for virgins. Well let me ask you this--what are the haters going to say now, huh? What could they possibly say now? Tyson McGuffin is here to shut all of them up because this man is out here knockin' boots. No 3rd shot drops for Tyson, he's strictly banging out here," he wrote. "They don't call Tyson McGuffin the most electrifying man in sports for no reason. And by "they", I mean me."

McGuffin, of course, is a unique personality in the professional pickleball ranks.

And Jordie absolutely loves it.

"Professional sports are entertainment. And in entertainment, you need characters. And you're not going to find a character in pickleball better than Tyson McGuffin," he wrote. "He's a menace on the court, but an even bigger menace off of it."

Jordie also appreciates the softter side of the perennial PPA Tour contender too.

If you aren't familiar with McGuffin in his "Dad" role, watching Making McGuffins on YouTube and Pickleballtv is a must.

"The thing about Tyson McGuffin, however, is that he has more or less adopted a WWE persona on the court. When he's away from pickleball, he's a family man with 4 kids at home. But with the PPA Tour making a stop in Australia this year, Tyson McGuffin and the wife decided to take advantage of the opportunity to take a little vacation for themselves," wrote Jordie. "Away in Australia for a few days without any kids to cause any interruptions? The McGuffins are out here getting. it. on. wooooowweeeeee."

Stay tuned for more McGuffin content because he's as candid as they come.
