Parenteau in all white on the pickleball court.
Pickleball star Catherine Parenteau knows her music.  PPA Tour

Parenteau’s playlist 'Music that Moves Me' featured on Apple Music

Do you ever wonder what kind of music your favorite pickleball athlete listens to in order to get hyped up before a big match? I can’t be the only one.

When I watch Catherine Parenteau warming up with Anna Leigh Waters on Championship Sunday for another epic matchup against "The Girlies," I’m dying to know what songs prepare them for battle.

Fortunately, Apple Music has created Parenteau’s 'Music That Moves Me' playlist.

It's filled with songs that the Canadian star has on repeat during her pickleball training and gym sessions, and tuned that get her mentally ready to hit the court.

There’s one steady theme in this unique mix of upbeat house music, pop, and EDM.

It’s all about the rhythm.

“The strong beats give me motivation to push further than I thought I could,” explained Parenteau to Apple Music.

Girl, we get it. I think we all can relate to that moment when a good song comes on and suddenly you find yourself running a little faster, pushing for one more rep, or drilling a bit harder.

Parenteau’s playlist features notable artists like FISHER, Dom Dolla, and Bad Bunny.

A word of caution, though... put on one of these tracks and you could find yourself aggressively nodding along and starting to practice your power serves.

If there’s one thing we know about Parenteau, it's that Beyoncé will make an appearance on her playlist. She loves Queen Bey. I mean, who doesn’t, right?

Beyoncé’s “Pure/Honey” track from Renaissance makes the cut.

Along with “…Ready For It?” and “Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift, which are unarguably her fiercest songs. I love these choices.

Parenteau must have had a brat summer because Charlie xcx’s “360” is there too.

And surprisingly enough, she must be a Belieber because Justin Bieber’s “Love You Different” rounds out the playlist.

This playlist is bop after bop. And I appreciate it.

It's time to put this on repeat. Sorry, I might have to be the person that brings the speaker and plays music at my local courts. But when I tell the naysayers it’s CP’s playlist, they won't be too mad about it.
