Man attacked on pickleball court in British Columbia
It was downright scary.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, a man was violently attacked on a pickleball court at Confederation Park in Burnaby, BC.
A video submitted to CTV News captured a portion of the altercation.
The attacker aggressively pursues the victim, who was struck several times before falling to the ground. Fortunately, he only sustained minor injuries.
An e-mail from Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Mike Kalanj provided further details.
"When police arrived, they located and arrested the suspect immediately. The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, including with a glass bottle and other objects that were in the area."
The 28-year-old faces a charge of assault with a weapon.
Witnesses say the attacker was nearby playing music on a speaker before engaging the victim.
